Summary of the Research :
Problem of the research :-
Investing lesiur time and confronting the increase in practicing recreation becoame the challenge of the century therefore civilized countries not only provide people with lesuier time but in the first place care for the scientific planning of how to invest it. So that lesuier time will not turn to a time of committing crimes of conducting acts that harm individual and society.
The individual’s attitude is considered an important part of his personality as it determins what kind of attitude he might conduct, also kind of responses in various situations. Recognaizing individuals attitude assists in understanding their different characteristics, that is an important matter for recreational activities participation direction to achieve surpasses in the needed direction.
Secondary stage is considered one of the important studying stages for pupils in our society, specially with the phyriobgical changes occuring to them. This stage represent the end of pugraty and the start of youth, therefore, anexity and the psychological instability reveals in this very stage as they live in a conflict between their recent life and the attempt to achieve their needs and between their future . some parents might concenterate on motirating their sons to study most of the time and not to practice any other activity which lay some stress on puplis in this stage due to their desire in achieveing their future goals and welling to practice the activities they like which express their attitude to wards recreational activities.
The need to the research is represented in the following:-
1- The attempt to recognize secondary stage pupils attitude in country and country side towords practicing sport recreational activities.
2- Recognizing attitudes to apply sport recreational activities according to pupils attitudes in this stage.
3- Re-establishing methods & programs concerning whatever relate to pupils attitudes in light of the available society’s facilities . specially as attitudes is considered a reflexion to the society’s culture , also reflects in pupils acts and behavior helping in making decision is different situations .
Aims of the research:-
The research aims basiclly to measure attitudes of pupils in secondary stage towards practicing sport recreational activities, thus requires achieveing the following objectives.
1- Designing scale formeasuring secondary stage pupils attitudes to ward practicing sport recreational activities .
2- Recognizing secondary stage pupils attitudes in countryside environment toward practicing sport recreational activities .
3- Recognizing secondary stage pupils attitudes in the civilized environment toward practicing sport recreational activities.
4- Comparing between secondary stage pupils attitudes of sport recreation in both country side & civilized environment.
Research hypothesis :- for directing the words in the recent study, the researcher conducted the following hypothesis :-
1- The hypothesized axis forming secondary stage pupils attitudes scale toward practicing sport recreational activities.
2- The existence of statistical indicating differences for pupils of secondary stage attitude toward practicing sport recreational activities for country side sample.
3- The existence of statistical indicating differences for pupils of secondary stage attitude toward practicing sport recreational activities for civilized sample.
4- The existence of statistical indicating differences for pupils of secondary stage attitude toward practicing sport recreational activities between country side & civilized samples for the civilized environment sample.
- method of the research:- The researcher used the descriptive method as it suits the nature of the research.
- Society & sample of the research:-
General secondary stage pupils represent the society and sample of the research from El fayoum governate for both countryside & civilized environment . The sample were chosen by the staged random method as only one secondary school of each educational region. Concerning the country side educational region from (Sanouras, ETSA, Ebshway) in term of 50 pupils from each school (25 pupils of 2nd year) & (25 pupils of 3rd year). Age ranged between (16-20 years old) with excluding failure , sick & handicapped pupils. Sample of the research were 300 pupils.
Tools of collecting data:- For collecting data of the research the researcher used the following methods:-
1- Document analysis representing in “scientific books in realms of sport & physical education, Education, psychology, recreation & psychological measurements” &


research and studies in the realm of attitudes, recreation and recreational activities”.
2- Questionnaire for experts (n = of recreation and sport psychology professors from faculties of physical education in Cairo and Alexandria.
- Data statistical process:- The researcher used the following methods for data statistical processing “descriptive statistic, T-test for differences between means & coefficient correlation”.
- Conclusions:- In light of the results of statistical process & According to research’s aims and hypothesis and in limits of research’s sample and procedures, the researcher is presenting the following conclusion:-
1- The researcher designed a scale of general secondary pupils attitudes towards practicing sport recreational activities. The scale includes 5 axis of 77 sentences.
2- Scale’s validity and stability were approved and the researcher conducted norms deprived from rows degrees
3- Results revealed the existence of statistical indicating differences in the scale of general secondary stage pupils attitude to ward practicing sport recreational activities for the country side’s sample.
4- Results revealed the existence of statistical indicating differences in the scale of general secondary stage pupils attitude toward practicing sport recreational activities for the civilized sample.
5- Results also revealed the existence of statistical indicating differences between country side and civilized for the civilized sample.
- Recommendation :-
According to debate and explaining results and conclusions of the recent study and in limit of society and sample of the research, the researcher recommends the following :- the important role conducted by each of ministry of education, ministry of youth, ministry of high education and ministry of media are represented in the following:-
1- Ministry of education and teaching:-

- By conducting new subjects about recreation in the studying books generally for education and specially for secondary stage, therefore recreation’s concept and aims should be emphasized in the schools.
- For encouraging pupils to practice recreational sport activities in schools, facilities should be provided.
- The importance of organizing courses and debates circles and furnishing courses for teachers in the schools as leaders of recreational activities.

2- Ministry of youth :-
- Coordination between youth ministry and the ministry of education and teaching by using the Governmental schools in the summer vacancies as recreational centers for all recreational activities and also conducting competitions between these schools according to the grad deal of facilities provided by youth ministry.
- Conducting work camps and general services camps for serving community in a continuous order.

3- Media:-
- Expanding cultural conscious between family members, specially fathers and mothers to identify the value, concept and aims of recreation, and also the importance of practicing recreational activities.
- A television program should be assigned to broadcast the recreational activities on the small screen weekly, for establishing the concept and importance of recreation for all society categories .
