So it is the responsibility of the teacher to motivate them, to make them understand what is being taught in the class with extra attention and most importantly to make them comfortable with extra care.

- When I started my this new third level batch of 11:15 to1:00 madam sent 3or4 students in my class who were creating the disturbance in other class and madam told me that they would be in my class till their course finished. I was able to tackle them but they wanted to change the class because they were fail to do mischievous in the class I told them that they can not go to any other class. But after some days they took permission from the management and changed their class. They came to me and asked that they had taken permission from management and they went to again in their favorite class where there other friends were present at that time I felt very weak and helpless.
In the 2007-2008 school year, MoET will continue to forcefully deal with the problem of students sitting in wrong classes,” said Deputy Education Minister Pham Vu Luan. In the 2006-2007 school year, the percentages of weak students sitting in wrong classes were 5.1%, 14% and 18% at the elementary, lower secondary and upper secondary level, respectively. And to help solve this problem, according to Le Quan Tan, who is in charge of secondary education at MoET, MoET has recently requested that all secondary schools organise math and literature tests for students in order to identify those who are yet to meet requirements at the beginning of the upcoming school year, which will start on September 5 nationwide. Based on test results, there will be basically two plans to help weak students. If the number of weak students in a class is high, those students will be grouped into a new class, in which experienced and capable teachers will deliver appropriate teaching programmes. If the number of weak students in a class is low, the students can stay in the class, but will have to go through extra training. As for schools facing infrastructure and resource problems or students who are too weak to stay in their classes, there will be different solutions for individual cases. MoET also has a plan to help another group of weak students: about 300,000 12th graders who failed both the first and second high school graduation exams. According to Pham Vu Luan, these students can retake Grade 12, which is costly and time-consuming, or register as observers in Grade 12 classes. But the most popular solution is to allow them to enroll in vocational schools without a high school diploma. The ultimate purpose of this plan is to welcome students who are unable to follow traditional education as early as after they finish Grade 9 and have a lower secondary school degree. In a separate development, Mr. Luan also said that MoET would soon finish working on its tuition fee raise plan. It will then subject the plan to public review before submitting it to the government by the end of the third quarter this year. MoET has recently announced its new scholarship plan, under which, all scholarships will be at least equal to the minimum tuition fee level. Scholarships at universities, colleges and vocational schools will be at least equal to the maximum tuition fee level. Dealing with Students Who Need Help and Support
Dear Teachers
All of us are dealing with different levels in each class
Some are excellent. Some are average and a number of them need help and support
We can't say they are weak because they can understand but they can't cope with the curriculum level and mostly because their foundation in English wasn't that much solid and helpful
So, How about sharing with each other
any action plan you have done to improve their level
any extra task you have been providing them
any strategies you have been using and worked very well
Lets Cooperate together to make them Better | | |
